Underground Stampede, founded by Everett Lee “Bud” Scritchfield, Jr. (Lead Vocals, Guitar), accompanied by, Tommy Bijak (Vocal, Guitar) Chris Skea (,Bass), and Mike Stuhr (Percussion) have had an intense collaboration with instant chemistry allowing them to open for national acts including James Otto, Jamey Johnson, Chuck Wicks, Craig Morgan, Chris Cagle, Eric Church, David Allan Coe , Thompson Square, Jimmy Wayne, Josh Thompson, Joe Diffie, Mark Chestnut, Keith Anderson, The Lo Cash Cowboys, The Roys, Flynnville Train, Crystal Shawanda, Love & Theft, Sarah Buxton, Jedd Huges , Lee Brice and James Wesley and multiple performances with some of these artists.
Currently, the band is working with Grammy Nominated Producer, Robert White Johnson. Mr. Johnson's work as a producer/writer has sold over 20 million records worldwide. A 25-year veteran of the Nashville music community, he has collaborated a variety of major recording artists including Celine Dion (penning her first worldwide hit, “Where Does My Heart Beat Now”), The Beach Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, . 38 Special and Van Zant. Additionally, Robert has co-written or produced fifteen #1 Contemporary Christian Music hits over the years winning a Dove Award, and garnering several other nominations.
Recently, Everett Lee and Underground Stampede released a three song EP that was recorded in Nashville ,TN.
It was a great honor to be given the opportunity to publish and record for the very first time the song
“Lookin' Down on the Moon” . The song was composed by Johnny Roy Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Donald
Van Zant(.38 Special), Robert White Johnson & James Eugene Robinson, and produced by Robert White
Johnson. The other two songs on the ep are:“Attitude” - Composed by Everett Lee & Keith Medley, produced
by Robert White Johnson “Long Gone and Forgotten” - Composed by John Landry, produced by Robert
White Johnson
Other recent accomplishments include being invited to CMA Music fest in Nashville in June 2011. CMA Music Fest is one of the largest Country Music festivals in the United States. The band performed 8 shows in four days .They also were invited to sign autographs and meet fans inside the CMA fan fair hall. Signing over 250 autographs during their two - one hour appearances. The bands outstanding performances has lead them to being invited back for CMA music fest 2012 and invitations to perform at other events as well.
Everett Lee and Underground Stampede will continue to work with producer Robert White Johnson as well as performing in Nashville, TN and the Northeast region in through out 2012.
